|
|
| I've tried most movie types in the capture window with both 1920x1080 and 1280x720 captures including AVI DVD and MPEG2, it looks fine on pc, however the aspect ratio for tv when imported to adobe premiere pro is cropped. I am creating either a 1080 or a 720 screen in premiere depending on what I capture in 3d-album, however every test I did the image is out of the safe area and my images are cut. 4:3 is working fine in premiere but how do I get a correct 16:9 out of 3d-Album. Thanks |

In CAPTURE,
Select DV AVI for MOVIE TYPE
Select HDTV 1920x1080 for FRAME SIZE. (Use the drop down menu icon at right side of frame size input area).
Or use any other settings that are 16:9 ratio, such as 1280x720. _________________ Bill

Sorry. From your first post I thought you were talking about the entire video not capturing correctly. Thank you for including the screenshot.
Movie Show 2 does have this problem.
If it is really important to have the entire photo display within the safe area then you may need to experiment with increasing the size of the canvas.
Go to the EDIT tab and click on one of your images. On the left side click on the BASIC tab and you'll find "Resize Photo" and right below it "Resize Canvas". I believe you would want to increase the heigth of the canvas. Experiment until you find a size that allows the entire photo to be displayed while the "unsafe" area basically is the added background color. Also - be sure to select "Centered" so that the extra pixels are added to the top and bottom equally.
NOTE: This work around is no longer necessary. See further down this posting to where Styler (3D-Album) includes a program fix for this problem. _________________ Bill

We have modified the MovieShow#2 in the recent 3.31 update so that the staeg will be adjusted according to the aspect radio of the vdeo.
If you prepare to capture 16:9 video, plesae also set your preview window to 16:9 so that the preview will have the same image in your video. |

I've installed 3.31, setup my preview to 16:9, captured in 1920x1080 and 1280x720 and it gets croped for TV.
I downloaded and installed 3.31 but when I check for the Product Version it has 4. 0. 0. 4 , is this correct?
If it is can you run a test at your end with the show to see that it still has the ratio problem.
To answer another question above Images are set at 1024 pixels for height and width left at auto, however this shouldn't have anything to do with the show being out of safe area for TV as long as images are within the correct ratio of your show in 3D Album. Ken |

Please download the following files for the fix (IMPORTANT: This fix works only for version 3.31. DO NOT TRY to replace these two files in versions lower than 3.31)
http://www.3d-album.com/download/StyleUpdate/MovieShow2/start.vexe
http://www.3d-album.com/download/StyleUpdate/MovieShow2/setting.vexe
Replace the two files in the 3D-Album's Presentation/MovieShow/MovieShow_2 folder. Please note, you will need Animanitrator's account in order to change files in Windows' Program Files folder if you have installed 3D-Album in this path. The fix also includes a control for the position of the photo text.
The version number 4. 0. 0. 4 is the internal Visviva kernel version, not the the version number of the 3D-Album application.

We'll have to wait to hear from Ken to see if it fixed his issues. But I ran a quick test and it looks like it works great. The images on the screen are within the safe area now.
For those not sure what to do with the two files that Styler made available, you simply download them to your hard drive and then copy them to the following folder: C:\Program Files\3D-Album-CS\Presentation\MovieShow\MovieShow_2, or wherever your copy of the 3D-Album software is kept. The key is to replace the two files that are in the Presentation/MovieShow/MovieShow_2 folder.
Thanks 3D-Album! _________________ Bill

Great job Styler, this fix took care of the problem, , after hours of frustration last week to get it right, now with the fix I did it in couple minutes. Keep the good work going and I hope you don't mind me bringing to your attention other issues as we go along utilizing the Commercial Suite. Again thank you and for the others make sure to download the two files as it will take care of the 16:9 aspect ratio problem for TV. Ken
